About the Author

Bob Rosenbaum holds a doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin in U.S. History with a specialty in the American West and has taught at four universities, the last being the Montrose campus of Colorado Mesa University. He also served as speech writer for then Texas Attorney General Jim Mattox followed by a similar position for Commissioner of the Texas General Land Office Garry Mauro. In addition, he has written several scholarly works, chief among them being “Mexicano Resistance in the Southwest.”
As a younger man, Bob had a varied work history: from working on a dairy farm, a paper mill's bull gang, as a construction laborer before learning the trades of roofing and house painting. In his so-called retirement he served as Fire Chief and Forest Manager at Arrowhead
This work experience helped him set the stage for the raw & shadowy schemes which play out in the Western Slope Mysteries.
